We have a guy locally who has now taken to playing his trumpet in the market place in order to try and keep up with his studys ( funding cuts to grants and all that Jazz !) It beautiful to hear him play, I had no idea the trumpet was capable of such sounds, ( my brother had a bugle for all of three weeks till my parents er lost it ) Its a double edged sword really in that its an unexpected joy to hear an impromptu street performance from a musician but when they are doing it just to survive, ah, curse those bankers, curse them.
The rich get richer all over the world, while the poor get poorer. But a lady tooting her saxophone on the street makes us forget about that for a little while, or does it?
