dunno about you, but a telephoto compresses long distances in a way that just gives a much better feeling for how far and large things really are.
the sloping hill in the forefront is the side of another mountain between the house and Cailaco. it's around 2 kms away!
to give an idea of the scale, there is a small village on the slope, just left of the bottom of the landslide.
yes, the little lighter spots are houses!
